Dr. Ruci Wang joined our center as an Assistant Professor on April 1, 2026. She received her Ph.D. in Science from the University of Tsukuba. After serving as a JSPS Research Fellow (DC2) and a Researcher (JSPS PD) at the University of Tsukuba, she worked as an Assistant Professor at the Center for Environmental Remote Sensing, Chiba University. Her research interests lie in remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), and urban environmental analysis.
[Message from Dr. Wang]
It is a great pleasure to join the Center for Spatial Information Science. My research focuses on understanding urban environmental change through the integration of remote sensing, GIS, and data-driven modeling approaches. In particular, I have worked on the spatiotemporal analysis and scenario-based modeling of land use/cover change, the relationship between urban morphology and land surface temperature (LST), and the integration of multi-source geospatial data for large-scale urban environmental assessment. Through these studies, I aim to provide quantitative insights into urban processes and contribute to data-driven urban studies and sustainable urban development by making full use of the rich spatial data resources at CSIS. I also look forward to contributing to the research and collaborative activities of the center.

2026年4月1日付で、ワン ルシ先生が当センターに助教として着任されました。ワン先生は筑波大学大学院にて博士（理学）を取得され、同大学にて日本学術振興会特別研究員（DC2）および同（PD）として研究に取り組まれた後、千葉大学環境リモートセンシング研究センターにおいて特任助教として研究・教育活動に従事されました。研究分野は、リモートセンシング、地理情報システム（GIS）、および都市環境解析です。

このたび空間情報科学研究センターに着任いたしましたワン ルシと申します。どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。これまで、リモートセンシングおよびGISを基盤として、都市環境変動の解明に関する研究に取り組んでまいりました。特に、土地利用・被覆変化の時空間解析と将来シナリオ予測、都市形態と地表面温度（LST）の関係解明、さらに衛星データや都市データなど多様な空間データを統合した大規模解析手法の開発を進めてきました。今後は、CSISが有する豊富な空間データ基盤を活用しながら、データ駆動型の都市研究をさらに発展させ、持続可能な都市形成に貢献していきたいと考えております。また、センターの研究および共同研究活動にも積極的に取り組んでまいります。
