Associate Professor Yuuki Nishiyama of our Center has received the IPSJ/IEEE Computer Society Young Computer Researcher Award (2026).
This award is jointly presented by the Information Processing Society of Japan (IPSJ) and the IEEE Computer Society to early-career researchers who have achieved outstanding results in the field of information science through research publications, academic papers, programming, and related activities, and who are expected to make further significant contributions in the future.
Associate Professor Nishiyama was selected as a 2026 award recipient in recognition of his outstanding research achievements in the field of mobile and wearable sensing for human safety. His work has been highly evaluated for advancing both the theoretical foundations and real-world applications of this research area.
The award ceremony was held on March 6, 2026, and Associate Professor Nishiyama attended the ceremony.

当センターの西山勇毅准教授 が、IPSJ/IEEE Computer Society Young Computer Researcher Award（2026） を受賞しました。
本賞は、情報学の分野において，研究発表や論文，プログラミングなどの顕著な成果をあげ，今後も発展，成果が期待される若手研究者に情報処理学会（IPSJ）とIEEE Computer Societyが共同で表彰するものです。
西山准教授は、人の安全のためのモバイル／ウェアラブルセンシング分野において卓越した研究実績を築き，理論的基盤の構築と実世界での応用の両面を発展させてきた点が高く評価され、2026年の受賞者に選定されました。
なお、授賞式は2026年3月6日に開催され、西山准教授が出席しました。
