On October 13, 2025, Assistant Professor Abel Táiti Konno PINHEIRO from our Center delivered a lecture titled “Escape or stay? Disaster prevention literacy to prepare for uncertainty” as part of a Chiba Academia Lecture Series, held at the Sawayaka Chiba Prefectural Plaza.
A total of 55 participants joined the event through in-person attendance, online participation, and satellite venues. The lecture adopted an interactive format in which participants accessed a special website on their smartphones to respond to questions and share the reasons for their answers. The questions were based on realistic disaster scenarios, encouraging participants to reflect deeply on how they would respond in such situations.
In addition to Assistant Professor Abel’s presentation, participants were able to learn from the diverse perspectives and ideas of others, making the session a valuable opportunity to enhance disaster preparedness literacy.
We sincerely thank everyone who participated. We hope the insights gained from this lecture will contribute to greater awareness and preparedness for future disasters.

2025年10月13日、ちばアカデミア講座の一環として、当センターのピニェイロ アベウ タイチ コンノ助教が、さわやかちば県民プラザにて「まよう心に備える防災リテラシー」と題した講演を行いました。
本講演には、対面会場、オンライン、サテライト会場を通じて、計55名の方々が参加されました。講演では、参加者が各自のスマートフォンから特設サイトにアクセスし、設問への回答とその理由を共有する参加型の形式が採用されました。設問は災害時に実際に起こりうる具体的な場面を想定した内容で、「自分だったらどう行動するか」を考える機会が提供されました。
アベウ助教の解説に加え、他の参加者の多様な意見や考えに触れることで、防災に対する理解をより深める有意義な時間となりました。
ご参加いただいた皆様、誠にありがとうございました。本講演で得られた学びが、今後の防災意識向上につながることを願っております。
