On June 6, Project Professor Yasushi Asami of CSIS received the 2025 International Exchange Award from the City Planning Institute of Japan (CPIJ).

This award is presented to individuals who have made outstanding contributions over many years to international exchange in the field of urban planning, including fostering international collaboration, promoting understanding, and nurturing future professionals. 

Professor Asami served as Chair of the CPIJ International Committee from 2012 to 2015, during which he played a key role in strengthening partnerships with associations across the Asia-Pacific region and in launching and managing the international journal Urban and Regional Planning Review (URPR). He continues to serve as Editor-in-Chief of URPR, contributing significantly to the international outreach of the academic community.

Many of the international students and early-career researchers he has mentored are now active around the world. In 2018, he also organized the International Conference on Spatial Analysis and Modeling, further advancing the development of global research networks in the field of urban planning.

当センターの浅見泰司特任教授が2025年度日本都市計画学会「国際交流賞」を受賞されました。

本賞は、長年にわたって都市計画の国際的交流に携わり、海外諸国との交流、啓発普及と人材育成に貢献した個人に贈られるものです。

浅見先生は、2012 年から2015 年まで同学会の国際委員長を務め、アジア太平洋地域の学会との連携強化や、国際誌 Urban and Regional Planning Review（URPR）の創刊・運営に尽力されました。現在も同誌の編集委員長として学会の国際的発信に貢献されています。

指導した数多くの留学生や若手研究者は世界各国で活躍し、また、2018年には国際会議International Conference on Spatial Analysis and Modelingを開催するなど、都市計画分野における国際的な研究ネットワークの形成にも多大な貢献を果たしてこられました。
