A field research story in Syria from Professor Takashi Oguchi’s days as a graduate student has been turned into a picture book for upper elementary school students. The book is titled “A Geographer Goes to Syria”. The illustrations were done by manga artist and Associate Professor Miki Yamamoto of the University of Tsukuba, and the book was published by Alice-kan.
