On November 2, we organized a special session titled “The Future of Spatial Information Science: Discovered by Novel Spatial Data” at the 34th Annual Meeting of the Geographic Information System Association (GISA) of Japan.
The session featured ten presentations from universities and industry. Various initiatives were shared, including research that utilizes emerging spatial information, data construction, and data-driven applications. The session also sparked active discussions among the participants.

11月2日、第34 回 地理情報システム学会学術研究発表大会にて、企画セッション「新しい空間データが切り拓く空間情報科学の未来」を開催しました。
当セッションでは、大学や企業から計10件の発表が行われました。新しい空間情報を活用した研究やデータ構築、データ利活用など、多様な取り組みが共有され、会場では活発な議論が交わされました。
