On June 15, 2026, Professor Takashi Oguchi assumed the position of Representative Director (President) of Japan Geoscience Union (JpGU). The term of office is two years.
*JpGU is one of Japan’s largest scientific organizations in the Earth and planetary sciences, comprising about 50 academic societies and more than 10,000 members in total.
