Welcome

3D GeoInfo & SDSC 2025, the co-located conference of the 20th International 3D GeoInfo Conference 2025 and the 9th International Smart Data and Smart Cities Conference, will be held in Kashiwa, Japan on 02-05 September 2025. The conference is hosted by the Center for Spatial Information Science (CSIS), the University of Tokyo and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT).

The 3D GeoInfo Conference aims to bring together international researchers, practitioners, and professionals from academia, industry, and government to discuss the latest advances in 3D geoinformation science and technology. This annual event offers a multidisciplinary and intersectoral forum in the fields of 3D/4D data collection, management, data quality, analysis, advanced modelling, and visualisation, with a strong focus on cutting-edge research, standardisation, technical, implementation and application issues across different disciplines.

The Smart Data and Smart Cities (SDSC) Conference is an annual international conference that brings together international experts in city analytics, GIS, digital twins, smart cities and data science from leading research institutes to discuss advances in methods and applications. It provides a forum to discuss the use data and technology to plan and shape our future cities. SDSC is the annual conference of the Urban Data Management Society, a society over 40 years old.

The event seeks to invite cutting-edge research, experience, and implementation relevant to city and infrastructure data, analytics, collaborative environments, and platforms for smarter decision making at local, national, and international levels. We encourage scholars and practitioners to share their research and experience relevant to the themes of this conferences.

Information for authors

You are invited to submit your contribution to the 3D GeoInfo & SDSC 2025 as full papers or extended abstract via the Conftool online submission system. The full papers will be selected through a double-blind review process and should not be published elsewhere. The extended abstract will be selected through a single-blind review process.

Accepted papers will be published in the ISPRS Annals or the ISPRS Archives.

Papers must be prepared strictly according to the ISPRS template for abstracts and full papers.

All accepted contributions must be presented at the conference.

** Note that full papers submitted for double-blind peer review to the ISPRS Annals must not contain any information which makes it possible to identify the authors. In particular, names and affiliations must be removed from the manuscript submitted for review. If you would like your paper to be considered for the Annals, please make sure to remove any identifying information before submission. If this is not the case, then your paper will be considered for the ISPRS Archives **
