2010 data update (5 October 2026)
Commuting-rate denominators now subtract two separately reported categories
from resident employed persons (item 00180) in the same day/night source table:
unknown municipality of workplace (00250) and unknown workplace (00260).
Commuter counts, day/night employment ratios, DID populations, ward corrections,
and classification conditions are unchanged. The result contains 229 UEAs and
255 central-municipality membership records. The Kyowa/Tomari connection-path
difference from the earlier published comparison remains a separate issue.
